Odessa–Kyiv is a series of street photographs I took between 2013 and 2014. Odessa is the city where I was born, a port by the sea, full of noise, humor, and contradictions. Kyiv always felt different — bigger, more serious, yet still full of small, surprising moments.

Photography at that time became a kind of diary. The people I photographed, their gestures, the way they carried themselves — all of it felt like fragments of a story I was slowly collecting.

Looking back, these pictures remind me less of events or politics and more of the characters I encountered — the glances, gestures, small scenes of everyday life. They feel like fragments of my own diary, written not in words but in images.
